Closely followed by another email offering me Halo 1 for £41.99 for 24 months.  They are relentless, and flogging a dead horse.

Well I’ve been ‘upgraded’ to halo 1 without asking and when my contact ends in January I guess now I’ll be leaving BT

My letter offered me the same price for Halo1 but a new 24 month contract. If I were with BT mobile it might be worth it.

    EDIT
I looked on my BT a/c and found out that I'd been upgraded without my knowledge on 12th July. No idea if this has started a new contract but not happy and will contact them.
  • i phoned bt to get a upgrade to fttp i asked for the cheapest package and they put me on hallo 1 £39.99, i am
getting 150mbps. i don't need that speed for what i do on pc.
But a person who lives in the same street as me, has been put on fttp fibre 1. £26.99. they are getting a
    down load of 50mbps,
apparently there are two different sales team for bt fibre broadband?

Are you sure that's FTTP Fibre 1 and not FTTC Fibre 1?

As an aside; what are the BT Marketing team smoking when they dream up their branding concepts?
    "Halo"?
And what's the half-life of a newly named product:-
    • "Infinity" (2010) Is that still what they call it; or has the rival's Buzz Lightyear "to infinity and beyon..." parody seen it off?
    • "Vision" (2006) which is what they called BT TV when I first bought it?
    • "Fusion" (2005; top marks to any oldies who remember this) a claimed service to boost your mobile reception via the 1st generation of Routers, offered to us when we first bought their Mobiles?  Never really worked, so soon forgotten
    Any more?

Fusion was a fixed/mobile convergence product so was a very apt name.
