  • Hi there,

I wanted to update and give my debt remaining this year

    #033 is £0.00/£398.56

I am disappointed that I didn’t manage to get debt free this year but hopefully will be by February. I am holding on to the fact I have got a small buffer now to stop me turning to the card and unessercery spending.

    Thank you

    tears xxx

  • Loved this challenge for paying off my debt. It was the most motivating place for me on here. I'd like to rejoin this year as a saver.

I have a monthly saver I can put odd bits of money in through the month. My planned 250E per month should equal 3k in a year, I would like to save 5k. My budget is so tight this will need to be through making extra money.

I already have 1k in there, so:

Please add me for 6K, Current: 1/6k
19/12/14: Spent 10 years of savings!!
:heart2: ..... to buy my first home. :heart2:
    11K OP 31.03.19

Current goal: €151,000 deposit Ireland and counting, to buy Spring 2022 we hope!

  • I'm not going to lie - the changes to overdraft charges are going to seriously hamper how quickly i can pay things off. I will go from 20 a month in charges to 57 a month. Originally i wasn't going to be able to clear the overdraft until october but it may take me longer. Its frustrating that they have been allowed to jump this much. I have no other way of cutting my costs. I have done a budget overhaul and am frugal as i can possibly be. its going to be a long slog. Its a good job this thread is motivating...as well as others.
    Sorry guys...rant over.
