Keyboard and mouse use on a bed

I am lying here in bed right now (my usual place and position as my room's just a single).
I have a lap tray with my keyboard and mouse on. Sometimes I sit up, cross legged, with the laptray in front of me; sometimes, like now, I'm lying down with the laptray over my thighs. My monitor's at the foot of the bed perched on a suitcase
Ideally ... I'd have a wider lap tray as the keyboard is wider than the laptray... but it's still workable in the long term.0 -
I use this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Logitech-Wireless-Keyboard-Windows-Android/dp/B00XJ3LVPI/ref=sr_1_1
but it's not ideal if you need to use the mouse constantly (it's more of a 'sofa-keyboard')
That's cool,I shall show him that,I suppose that's more for web surfing than playing games, although it could do the job,I shall read the reviews0 -
Would a fold down from the wall table work?
Monitor fixed to the wall above, wireless KB & mouse and the base unit tucked somewhere out of the way.0 -

IF there is space to open the drawers then there is probably enough room for a proper setup with a real chair.
Might have to lose some of the storage space in the chest of drawers but that can be fixed if the wall is full double bed sized.
Adjustable wall mount to raise for TV viewing from bed.0 -
A trackball is an alternative to a mouse - works quite well when there's limited space for moving a mouse around. I've been using one on my desktop for years. (Had an RSI scare, but fortunately went away again.)
I do often sit in bed with laptop, and do use a traditional wired mouse there. Usually works fine, though the undulating surface does occasionally mess things up.0 -
When having severely indolent moments, I prop the laptop on a squishy pillow & wield the mouse on a suitably heavy book. Which, likewise on another squishy pillow, I can angle for optimum wrist comfort.
I'm all for the right tools for the job, but if he's not keen on spending money & effort, a couple of pillows may be enough?! (And if not, oh dear, you can take them into protective custody.)0
