  • Just a minute or two of prep timeusually, really which I don't find is too intrusive at all.


    I have a dvd game that crashes quite often, restarting takes about 5minutes before you can get back to the game once you've sat through thecompulsory copyright/intro section.

    At least with video we had the ability to watch the bits we wanted & skip the bits we didn't

    Apparently, it's something to do with a "User Operation Prohibitedflag", or UOP flag, which makes your DVD player ignore any commands youmake.

    Wikipedia says there are some DVD players which will ignore the UOPflag, allowing full control over DVD playback, but it doesn'tmention any names
