I would like to instal MS Office Professional (ie to include Outlook) on my laptop and to make a one-off payment not pay a monthly fee.
Where is it best to buy this? Microsoft direct or another site?
[trying a search on MSE didn't get me results, perhaps I didn't use the correct search terms.]

Bought mine for < a fiver from eBay around 6 months ago. You activate code before downloading from microsoft"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

And if a fiver's too cheap...
£10 Amazon https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lifetime-Information-Activation-message-Delivery/dp/B07VXSHCPL/
£100 Groupon. https://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/microsoft-office-2019-home-office-windows-1
or £47 for 2016 version https://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/org-microsoft-office-2016-windows0 -

I bought a copy a few months ago for about £25 from a seller who appear near the top in a Google search. It was a download and appears legitimate.0

There are many freely available email clients. Outlook is aimed at businesses and is overkill for home users.unforeseen wrote: »What mail program comes with Libre Office?

Well Outlook has worked very well for me for twenty years or so. That's why I would generally prefer to return to using it.
Would you recommend any particular program to receive emails to multi addresses?0
