Here's the thing. I have an SUV and my 83 year old aunt was with me. We couldn't park in the disabled bay so we wasn't entirely in the bay so overlapping the bay lines. This was to enable my elderly aunt to get out of the SUV without bashing any obstruction. Their were plenty of empty spaces.

Simply Google Equality Act reasonable adjustment duty.

I guess if I don't hear anything from the landowner or B & M this week I'll do that. I'm having faith that the manager and foremen I spoke to today will contact the landowner and will speak up for with the reasons for the way I parked. I'm not sure how I'll know if they did or not.

I'd email the landowner anyway, given there are only a few working days left before Xmas and after that it would be January before you get a reply, and maybe it will then be tight, or too late, to then appeal on day 26 to UKPC.

As the NEWBIES thread tells you, this is our tactic and it explains why that delay.

Unfortunately I don't know the landowners details as the manager of B & M said he'd contact them. At first he was going to give me their details but sort of got side tracked. I do hope the manager keeps to his word and speaks on my behalf and passes what I said to him to them.

I was told the landlord was a she.
I'm not sure that side covers the other side of IKEA.

The landowner will be a 'them' - a company.

Time to be Miss Marple. Or Columbo ... anyway, KeithP's link gives a contact number - it's there for all to see so that's an invitation! Phone the number: "do you own or manage x land?" If so, thank them and email the complaint to them. If not, ask who does and proceed accordingly.

It's not something we do every day - contacting big companies to complain. But nonetheless there's really no mystery about it. I've found that even the international big boys can be surprisingly human & helpful.
