The modern dating game question?

Ok so here goes, I divorced a few years ago and tbh I still don’t get the modern dating game but hopefully someone on here may be able to give me some advice.

I recently meet a very nice lady for coffee and we appeared to hit it off, too the point of agreeing to meet again for a drink.
Only problem was I had to go back to work for a few weeks so we said we would plan something in for next time I got home.

So my question is we haven’t messaged in a few weeks but I’m due home soon but now I’m not sure what to do next, so do I message her bearing in mind it’s a few weeks since we last spoke or messaged.

Do I simply message and ask if she still wants to meet up again now I’m home or is the fact we haven’t spoken in a while a sign she maybe not interested?

  • She may be feeling to shy to call/text.

A lighthearted text asking her if she would like to meet again might be a nice surprise but do remind her that you have been away for a few weeks.

    Good luck !!

Drop her message saying something like "I'll be home from <wherever it is you work> work in <X> days, do you still fancy meeting up for a drink/meal/date ?"

  • Yes, message her and ask if she still fancies meeting up with you.

But, for future reference, if you go out with someone and you get along well enough to plan the next "date", follow up with a friendly text message after a few days.

What have you got to lose?
If she's not interested, she might not reply.
Or she might reply to say she's not interested.

    How bad can that be?
  • Thanks all, ah i just haven't messaged due to been away with work but we did say we would get something planned for when i come home after meeting initially...

You have nothing to lose by sending the message, fingers crossed a 2nd date will ensue.
If not there is always the next one
