Bank account safety?
Comments
-
Off topic, but I opened a Midlands Bank account at 5. It turned into a current account at some point and I had it until well into my 20s! (Of course it was HSBC by then)
OP, I think the worry about current accounts is that it’s generally easier to get to the money than if it was in a savings account. As others have said, look at sharia savings accounts to find one that doesn’t pay interest. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. What sort of account is it? I can't believe that you opened a current account when you were 12.
Please clarify your exact safety concerns.
You can certainly open current accounts at age 12, both my kids did so at 11 which is the earliest you can open one.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
