Both sold around July/August 2018.
460k:

14 Milton Avenue, Langdon Hills, Basildon, Essex SS16 6TT
420k:

22 Glenwood Gardens, Langdon Hills, Basildon, Essex SS16 6TU
Both are in the same neighbourhood. In fact the 420k property looks in a better condition to me. Am I missing something?

I am not sure why that space is coming back again!
I am able to click on them now though0 -
Just looked on google streetview, I'm not 100% sure but the Glenwood Gardens property looks to be just off the road and accessible via a driveway shared with 3 other properties which would make it less desirable than the Milton Avenue property.0

Who knows, who cares - £40k may be a lot of money, but it's only 10% of the purchase price, so not that significant really.
Maybe the sellers of the 2nd place needed to move quickly - job elsewhere, divorce, debt, death, whatever - only they know for sure, so make up whatever reason you like to keep you happy...0 -
First house £420k
Second house £460k
The second one still has the add on line asking was £480/£475

way back has the other one April 2016 asking £475.

Most likely first one got a bit desperate after 2 years on the market and someone negotiated harder to get a better price.

You can post the links correctly provided you use the "insert link" button:

I see. I also noticed that it has changed hands 5 times since it was built in 1995 and the other one property just once. Maybe there's some hidden issue?0 -

Why was one more expensive than the other? <shrug> Simply because somebody wanted to pay more for one than somebody wanted to pay for the other...0
