Virgin wifi paying for 150, only equipped to receive 100

ML sold the site many years ago .0

In not disputing what speed they have provided, I am disputing the equipment they supplied was not able to receive 150 only 100.
So 4 years ago when you switched to the 150 package any sensible person would have done some speed tests and then realised that they were only getting 100 Mbps at most instead of 150 Mbps. You could have then rang up and got it sorted there and then.
The fact that you failed to do a speed test or bring up the issue for 4 years seriously weakens your case.0 -
I'm not bothered about doing a speed test, it's the fact that their equipment wasn't capable of providing 150 ever because it was only capable of 100. Its like buying a 900cc motorbike then finding out its engine has been restricted to 500cc. It is not the 900cc motorbike you thought you were getting. Despite the fact that a 900cc motorbike can do 140mph. You never tried to do 140mph because the roads are restricted to 70mph. It's not to do with the 140 speed it's the power that was restricted.0

Oh and the 500cc motorbike was £3000 cheaper than the £9000 you paid for the 900cc. I want my 400ccs worth of money which happens to be £3000 back.0

Do you know of there is a way that Martin Lewis can investigate these things on our behalf.
Try BBC Watchdog perhaps?
Do note that, to get any media involvement at all, your issue will have to be widespread and the "losses" quantifiable.0 -

Even better, take it to CISA as Virgin have already issued a deadlock letter which makes me think the OP hasn't told us everything.0 -

So you think there's no point in persuing it?0

You should also understand that you will never get headline speeds over wi-fi, whatever equipment you are provided with.
By all means proceed with your CISA referral, but your expectation of success should be low.0
