#6 reporting £972.76 for February. Just about to submit form.
I wasn’t able to save as much as I would have liked this month due to a couple of unexpected expenses but I’m planning a fairly frugal March so hopefully I’ll be able to report significantly better savings in a month’s time.4 -
Hi,
#003 declaring £500 for March. I have also submitted the form. Could you also update Feb's as I did submit the form & post on the forum but the total sheet hasn't been updated.
Many thanks

Hello
#66 reporting £2057.49 for February.
1750.00 into monthly savers
203.90 interest from maturing Atom bond
81.23 interest from a maturing monthly saver (I'm not counting the funds as I'm spending some of it)
22.36 interest from other bank accounts.
I'm going to be simplifying my accounts I think. I'm switching to get £175 and then closing most of them down and putting it in Marcus.
Thank you Slowly Fading#663 -
@clowning
Interesting, i'm also considering opening a Marcus. Never banked with Atom, i seem them referenced but not too sure as not a normal bank so to speak i.e high street etc. Definitely considering Marcus, how long does it take to open an account? Also going to switch my Santander 123 account to the lite 123 account in May as no real advantage to the normal account once the interest rates drop from what I can see.

Hi Kev
I opened the Marcus account not long after it was launched and it's been easy to open and manage. Payments made straight into a nominated linked account. The rate has dropped but it's still a market leader at 1.35% for new customers (I think).
Atom is an app only bank but I've had several 12 months savers with them and never had a problem. The bond that has just matured - I've reinvested for 12 months at 1.60%. It was 2.05% this time last year.#665 -

Seemed to miss the Jan update, so reporting £163.03 for Jan and -£3,261 for Feb.
January included paying off the Christmas credit card so is always a low saving month, then in Feb a regular saver matured and cleared a 0% Card, so being behind schedule was always part of the plan at this point in the year. The stock market tumbles are a bit scary to see, my regular DD was invested after the first drop so the loss there could have been worse.
Times like this do make me grateful for this challenge and having savings to fall back on in times of uncertainty.

Hi Slowly Fading and the other savers. Number 79 reporting
Just scraped in target, £2006 for February giving an annual total of £4129
Looking forward to March, reasons to be optimistic. .Overtime tomorrow, several monthly savers maturing, solar panels should start improving.
Pessimism includes unplanned spending on the birthday of the decade (wife's 60 on the 25th) but the big one, what will the stock markets do. This affects my wifes pension, that's out of my control
Thanks again SF
Mark (Form submitted)No.79 save £12k in 2020. Total end May £11610
Annual target £240003 -
Number 40 reporting £514.93 for February, which I'm happy with. I'll submit my form in the next couple of days.4
