  • Premier Parking Solutions have asked that I appeal within 21 days of the 2nd day after they sent me the letter.

They want me to lodge an appeal online or by post.

If that's unsuccessful, they want me to then appeal to the IAS.

Should I or should I not write an appeal at this stage?

How would I write an appeal given my circumstances and my complaint of indirect discrimination under Equality Act 2010?

    Many, many thanks.

CoP means Code Of Practice , it's an acronym , there are 2 at the moment , the BPA Cop and the IPC CoP as you have mentioned in your letter , we are awaiting the government CoP following assent of the Parking Bill by Sir Greg Knight , which should supercede them both

The BPA Cop allows for 2 grace periods ,

one to park , read signs and purchase a ticket

One after the parking time ends to depart

Never mind the EA 2010 reasonable adjustments angle by parking company and landowner as well

It is reasonable to assume that it is a fair test if the BPA allow it under clause #13 , so the IPC should too

For your info - "IPC (Independent Parking Committee)"

    IPC = International Parking Community

Course they do, because they know it is a kangaroo court that you are bound to lose, a you have read on every other IPC thread.

Search the forum for 'IPC see you in 2020'

No need for updates - see you in 2020.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Hello,

    I'm considering appealing now.

Not sure if the sticky advice thread about "penalties not being enforcable" still applies in 2019? I thought that had changed and PPC can issue penalties after a court case?

I'm still unclear about exactly what I should write in my appeal after reading the stickies, given the above about penalties?

Should I appeal along the lines of what I've written in this thread or use a standard template?

I don't think I can appeal to POPLA as they're not a member of the BPA.

    Thanks.
  • South Hams district council haven't got back to me about the request to see who the landowner is and I haven't heard back from CAB/ trading standards about my complaint through that route. Thanks
  • I apologise if I'm going over old ground or haven't read properly.

Dont appeal to the IAS. Your research will have told you why not.

They cannot apply *penalties*. If they win a court claim about an alleged *debt*, that is *debt* and not a penalty.

They want me to appeal to "zatappeal" in the first instance presumably.

Why are you repeating the same thing?

The NEWBIES thread strongly suggests that a second level appeal for an IPC company is futile.

    Please re-read posts #35 and #39 above.
