Hi guys ,
Anyone out there have an ecology regular saver or easy access account? According to their website , direct debits are taken on the second working day of the month (i.e today). Nothing left either of my accounts today though , and I did get a letter back from them confirming DDs had been set up. Is it normal of them to delay taking it or should the money have been taken ?
Cheers

No my direct debit has not gone out today.
But the November payment wasn’t collected until 5 November and the October payment not until 3rd – so it looks like they are actually taking the funds on the third working day of the month.
So no need to worry at this stage - but if the direct debit isn't taken by Thursday call them!0 -
I’ve had an Ecology RS for more than a year. DDs never leave on 2nd. Earliest is 3rd, but often 4th or 5th. December’s went today 4th0

I remember from my documents that the direct debit date is always the third business day of the month.
For January this will be on Monday 6th.0 -
Mine out today too.0

Is this about fairly recently set up accounts?
Direct debits have to have a notification period built in, about two weeks I think, so if your accounts are newer than that the first payment may be next month.0
