It appears to be ok now..
I had to uninstall my Norton internet security, due to an error, I have just re-started the PC, and firefox is working now.
Maybe it had something to do with Norton..?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0 -

What OS are you using? You can disable the updates, and download the installer manually...
I've never had any problems with Firefox at all, it's by far the most stable browser I've ever used under both Windows XP Pro and Mac OS X.0 -
my firefox browser wont even open on my laptop! even in safe mode. it's after the most recent update0
