    Good on you Poppy

    Days to Orlando: 462- ☀️🎢

  • Hi 👋
Not posted for a while because I haven't had much to say really. However it's pay day tomorrow so officially the end of the "month" for me. I have ended the month with £202.00 in my current account 😄.

My Emergency Fund is now back up to £300 😄.

This "months" goal is to pay my car insurance in full. Which I have already done so I can't make any overpayments on the loan sadly but worth it I think.

Thanks sarah, I've set up a standing order into another account where I am saving for my car tax, mot and now insurance. So I will have the money sat there next year too.

  • Urgh it's that horrible mid to end of my month time. Worst time as all bills are pretty much paid and nothing much exciting happening and waiting for next pay day. 13th March. No loan overpayments this time as I paid my car insurance in full. My EF is replenished to £300 so I will leave the £10 a month trickling away into that for now.

Going away for a few days with my partner end of April so need to put a little bit away for spends. It won't be an expensive one so won't need much but could do with putting a little aside for that this month and next.

Nothing much that requires any spendy days between now and next pay day. Will need to do a bit of a food shop but shouldn't need too much.

Hopefully next "month" I'll be able to make an overpayment on the loan and get that total closer to that £15,000 target!!!

i feel like I have the most boring diary on here but I worry a dour sharing too much that might identify me in the real world lol. Also I just don't have much to say as it's just a case of sticking to my budget and keeping on slogging.

Hello, well I'm still here and still plodding on. Feel like this debt is dragging on forever and ever. I don't think it helps that my partner (we don't live together) is TERRIBLE with money. So sometimes I feel like I'm trying really hard to pay my debts down and hes off buying extravagant purchases. Its almost like a recovering gambling addict in a relationship with a gambler. Part of me feels annoyed that hes so bad with money and jealous that I'd quite like to treat myself like he does. Then theres another part of me that completely understands where hes coming from because thats exactly how I ended up in this mess!

Arghh! Sorry rant over, my main struggles at the minute are being consistent with meal planning. I was rubbish last week so ended up spending more money on "top up shops" than I usually would. I also ate so bad last week eating a lot of snack type food. When I have meal planned I stick to my budget and generally eat much better.
I am getting to the gym at least once/twice a week so I'm feeling better about that but also another reason to be trying to eat better.

I get paid on the 13th so I just need to do a food shop to last between now and then and theres not much else that I need to spend money on, possibly some petrol but we will see.
My loan will go into the next thousand bracket next payment run quite excited by that and the elusive £15,000 target is getting closer :) after I hit £15,000 my next target will be £10,000 which Im aiming to get to by the end of the year. It will be a challenge but hopefully I get there.

    Hi
Just read through your diary and I think you're doing really well. Not only have to paid off loads on your debt in the short time you've been at it but even when you are feeling a bit down you pick yourself up and throw yourself into it.
    Keep going!
