My husband has a 2g phone that he loves, he’s had it for years and it does exactly what he needs. But, I’m getting increasingly sick of Vodafone so want to move our contract. Are there other networks I could use that will allow him to keep his current phone?

i think 'three' is the only '3g only' network (plus 4g now) - the other networks should still support 2g

Three got rid of its 2G network ages ago. The other providers still use it, though they keep tooting as to whether its worth getting rid of 2G. 3G is more likely to go first though, since depending on which reports you read Smart Meter may latch onto 2G for their purposes, so if that disappears that entire project will be even further up the creek without a paddle than it already is but that's for another thread...

Before you order a new SIM make sure that his phone is not locked to the Vodafone network.

If it is Voda will supply a free unlock code as he has been a customer for years.

Check the Voda web site, he may have to register if not already done so
