Hellooooooo everyone!
Number 15 checking in here. I didn't think i would be visiting this thread and overpaying again this year as I maxed out my OP allowance until March next year but I got bored through the week and contacted N/W and asked what the penalty would be if I overpaid over my allowance. The lovely lady told me that it would be 2% of the overpayment with a minimum charge of £7.50 which meant that I needed to overpay by at least £375 to make it the 2%. Soooooo... I have set myself a mini goal to earn my 2% fee from FREE money, by free I mean, surveys/facebook sales etc.
Yesterday I bit the bullet and made a payment of £500, mainly just to see what would happen and I got a £10 charge on my account and as I have cashed out a survey site - £18 odds...this means I'm 'up' £8.
This also means I can amend my yearly target so I will give that some thought and update on my next post.
Thanks Julicorn

#6 updating for May with a total of £2400 and £1200 for June.
Thanks Ben4 -
Hello everyone, hope your keeping well?
#14 O/P of £2204.46 made for June. Total for the year £10,250.25.
This has maxed out our O/P allowance for the year. So won't be able to 'pay' anything else off of the mortgage until May 2021.
Julicorn, I note this means we have reached our target for 2020. We plan to continue to virtually O/P the mortgage and will put any further payments into savings. Therefore please can we keep the target for now and we can review this later in the year. Thank you as always for doing an amazing job of updating the S/S and keeping the thread running.
Thanks everyone for the inspiration

number 9 checking in. Payment of £651.21 for June so far.... just looked at my mortgage and it says 12 years 2 months left, but I think that is from original term. Anyone know how I find out term including overpayment? I have my own spreadsheet so I have an approximate idea, but it would be nice to know properly!Debt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)
