@Frugaldommy pip book arrived this morning! So pleased. With peppers ask around for a 5 litre water bottle, people buy them - I got some asking on Facebook lol (Tesco do them) Then saw it open a 3rd of the way up and put a pot in it. It makes a great greenhouse that you can move easily and take the top of to tend too.You won’t get masses of fruit, but it works. It’s excellent for many smaller plants, you can water through the lid too lol. It may not work for you up north but it’s worth trying if you can get one. If you do message me I’ll send you some seeds (was given M&S ones after I’d planted)Life happens, live it well.5

Thanks, Willow-loulou, great idea with the mini greenhouse from 5-litre bottles. I have a couple of those that I use for bottling my homemade apple cider vinegar. We have often used clear fruit pots, plastic bottles and all sorts of clear plastic cartons as cloches and mini-propagators, even a plastic tub with polythene over the top has worked well.. Were you part of our challenge when the 2-litre plastic bottle greenhouses were being built by some of the Frugalers? I have loads of plant pots as we were in the process of introducing a micro-market garden at the Frugaldom project when lockdown happened. Now they are all sittng waiting for compost as our local supplier can't source any to deliver to us. Everywhere is sold out owing to all the newcomers to seed sowing and gardening during lockdownI reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.

Hello everyone,
I saw a yo:t-be video about building a greenhouse from plastic pop bottles I may give it a try.
Plants are doing wellDD is potty training
No spend days are slowly adding up.
Haven't spent any money since Thursday and when we have spent money before that it's only on essentials.
I need some bigger bras. But now I've gone into the larger cup sizes they seem quite expensive. I'm hoping I can hold off till the stores reopen so I can at least try them on and make sure they are a good fit .. I'm also struggling because my banding is quite small I'm measuring as a 30E .. if anyone knows where I maybe able to get this size I'll be very greatful ... Most places start at 32
We are still frugaling along.

Sorry guys another quick update. I got the job I applied for. I was also offered the higher contract hours which means an extra £3k a year in pay. And as part of the role I will occasionally be a senior which is higher hourly pay. Eventually I hope to be a senior full time which will add an additional £1k to my pay over the year for the same hours.
Im extremely greatful as due to the coronavirus there aren't many jobs at the moment ..
I hope everyone has had a lovely bank holiday weekend 😊June 17 £16,000 debt ~ nov 18 DEBT FREE •June 21 £16,308 debt / july 22 debt free •Original mortgage free date 01/06/2059 current mortgage free date 01/05/20468 -
Congrats on the new job, Mumof3.
CW18. Sorry I haven't been on to thank you, as I went on the DVLA website to have a look for the info you supplied and my mot now runs out in Oct. So , thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Went to the lottie today and put my onions in, I grow them in pots first then transplant as that seems to work best for me. I also dug another small bed which I will be planting something in, not sure what yet as Im a bit short on seeds, but an old timer on the lottie says the local B&N has compost, so I will go in there and have a look when I go shopping for food,as there is a SM next door. Im still only shopping once a fortnight and as luck would have it its this week - may be a couple of days earlier though as I could do with the compost. So its still self isolating for me, not a lot is changing except my bank balance - its not going down as quick!!!!! Hope everyone is keeping healthy
