Easyjet double the difference guarantee

On Nov 11th I booked a car through the Easyjet website with Europcar. I then found a cheaper quote with Centauro. I followed the steps on the easyjet website and submitted my claim under the lowest price guarantee. You are meant to hear in 96 hours (my parents did and were successful). 2 weeks later and 2 follow up emails I hadn't heard anything, so I contacted easyjet customer care. They said I had to deal with Europcar. I finally heard from Europcar tonight and they say I have to deal with easyjet. The offer is no longer on the Easyjet website. Has anyone dealt with this?
