If so were you given the details and how long did the DVLA take to reply?

How would the DVLA know who was driving?
Reported them for failing to stop or the driver refused to give you his details? What have your insurance said?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Or use askmid.com (from a mobile device, free) to get their insurance details and just go straight to them.0

No, going via a mobile will allow you to see the insurer and policy. Same as paying a few quid from a browser. Thanks but unless I have missed something that only confirms the car is on the insurance database rather than any detail of the insurance company, driver etc.

But pause and think a sec - nothing is going to confirm the driver, short of asking the keeper... or the driver if you'd caught 'em at it. You don't notify DVLA or the insurer every time you change between your OH and you driving any of your cars, do you?0 -
I tried using mobile data to connect the phone rather than wi-fi but still do not get the insurance details? No, going via a mobile will allow you to see the insurer and policy. Same as paying a few quid from a browser.

The insurance details are for more useful than the keeper details, if you want to put a claim in against whoever was driving it. The keeper would just forward it to their insurance, anyway. It seems that only gives you the 3rd parties insurance details not the registered owner's name and address.
I wonder if you can spot the difference, and why insurance may not be useful in dealing with abuse of somebody's private land?If I park for too long in Lidl they don't seem to have any problem obtaining my details!0 -
