Minster baywatch

Good afternoon. Sorry just getting use to how the site works so hope this right.

I recieved a parking fine in the post from minster baywatch stating I was in the car park for 20 mins , there was a picture of my car going in and leaving.

I drive in here to use my phone as I was looking for a shop in that area , it us a bingo carpark, I know this car park because I dropped my mum here last year..

I appealed online , appeal was acknowledged

Then I forgot about it till I got a letter to say I hsbd ignored appeal decision which was not upheld so the charge had gone up ..after looking through all my emails I found it in my spam..

I emailed them and asked why they didnt et me know by post as they are quick enough to do this when the charge goes up..told them I will pay the original y0 pound under protest but not the 100 pounds..
I'm Still waiting a reply

What are my options with these jokers
Im fuious , I never even got put my car 😡

    It's not a fine , it's an invoice

If it's been appealed and failed it's wait for a court claim

That's better, your very own thread all about your case, to see it through.

Can you firstly edit and delete you post from here, as I just did:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/76534536#Comment_76534536

...and as you tried an appeal but missed POPLA stage, all you can do is await the court claim (see other Minster Baywatch court threads - no risk, no huge costs, no worries, just some time spent on a defence at the time).

So, unless you can get a shop Manager or the retail site landowner to cancel it (well worth complaining now as these are cancelled pretty much all the time!) then start reading every Minster Baywatch court thread in readiness, as research and preparation for yours in 2020.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    I recieved a parking fine ...

It is not a fine or a penalty, it is an invoice from an ex- clamper for damages for the harm they allege they suffered when you did what you did. We call it a scam. Pay them not one penny unless a judge so orders it. and, from what you have told us, that would be highly unlikely.

Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP after the election, or to all likely candidates now, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work, and often, if they know an MP is in the loop, they will cancel the charge..

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.
