You have to have due regard to the guidelines. If the creditor makes a court claim, the court will expect both you and the creditor to follow the protocol.

If no-one used the guidelines, then it would render them meaningless. Is that what you are incorrectly trying to articulate?

Edit: Since, as I have stated, it is guidelines, I have edited my original post accordingly.

No, what I am trying to articulate in posts #9 & #11 could not be more clear.
  • If proceedings are issued, then the Court will expect that the parties will have complied with the Protocol, and the Court will take into account non-compliance when giving directions for the case. The Court will look upon a failure to follow clear guidance very dimly...

Please stop diverting the discussion away from the needs of the OP...

I'm glad you now agree that your post#6 above was incorrect.

Yes, I would be grateful if we could now get back to assisting the OP in their query, but do not be surprised if I call anyone out who posts incorrect comments.

    Oh dear.

And you were the one that requested to "Please stop diverting the discussion away from the needs of the OP..."

How long have you been here? Almost 7 years I see. Almost as long as I have.

All I have posted is how this site operates, and how it is explained in the forum rules. Perhaps you should reacquaint yourself with them if you really felt the need to post that comment.

In short, this is an open forum; anyone can post.

In fact, anyone can post anything they like (within the acceptable terms) whether it is correct or incorrect. The site forum team will not correct any post because (a) the site is too vast to do so, and (b) the forum team do not have the time (nor probably the experince) to fact check every post. The post is the opinion of the poster only. Anyone who disagrees with the contents of a post are free to make a post to the contrary. (as long as it too complies with the acceptable terms)

Its how this forum operates, and has done ever since I joined. :)
  • Please stop misleading posters and mis-quoting peoples responses and generally acting like a forum mod.

What is going on here? Where is the post quoted above that I have just replied to which belongs between the two above posts?

There appears to be some unusual moderator activity today regarding user whitepaper.
First his interesting thread on credit scores not being meaningless is inexplicably closed
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6075011
and then one of his posts, which would not appear to contain anything offensive, has inexplicably disappeared from this thread immediately after me quoting it and replying to it.

Now my 2 posts including the quote of the previously missing post have been removed as well so now 3 posts are missing …… there was nothing offensive or contrary to any forum guidelines in any of thes 3 posts so I think some moderator is being over zealous here.
