To the OP. Number of days sickness in the last 1 or 2 years is commonly used as part of the selection process. It does not matter if you have only had one week off in the past 35 years, if that week was taken in the time covered in the selection criteria it will count against you.0

Service doesnt seem to count these days. It used to be last in first out, that doesnt seem to apply anymore sadly.0

Because the legislation doesn't allow it. Length of service can't be used as a criteria for redundancy.0 -

It can, but you're on a sticky wicket for indirect age discrimination if its used as the only criteria0
