    It is taxed. As soon as they swap over the name on the V5c (which can take a day or two) it won't be taxed. You are probably better off ringing them and explaining rather than a webchat.

    When the keeper changes, Any complete months of tax are refunded to the old keeper.

    The only time that doesn't happen is if the new keeper has taxed it using the doc ref from the V5C/2 and explicitly stated they're the new keeper.
