Two more £2 coins into the Pot

Work colleague emptied out his change from his pocket and there was a shiny £2 coin. Luckily, none of my fellow £2 coin saving colleagues were in today so no competition and a swift swap with two £1 coins I always keep in my purse and it was mine. Plain but still very welcome as it takes my total so far to £100 :T

Managed to post on the wrong thread yesterday :rotfl: I'm blaming the 5am alarm.

Anyway to repost what I wrote

On a roll. 8 nice £2 coins going in my pot today.

Had loads of £1 and 50p coins in my purse so gave them to girl on till at work who swapped £10 worth for me. Self scan till gave me one in my change and then got 2 more when went to get some cashback and she didn't have a £5 note.

Had a look at them. 7 are the normal £2 coin but one has "anniversary of the golden guinea 2015" on (it's still going in the pot)

Think I've been using my card more than usual. I much prefer drawing out X amount of cash each week as it is better for keeping an eye on spends. So I withdrew some cash and got my first £2 coin this week!! It's in my pot - a camper van money box

Oooh, i haven't got one of those yet. I must make a list of what I have got in my pot. From memory, there were a few Brunel and Rugby World Cup in there.

Dad was round yesterday so I casually asked him if he had any £2 coins on him! Luckily he had 2 - one plain and one WW1.
Also went out for a meal with friends last night. Again asked the question but one of friends is also collecting them and she had change to swap it.
So 2 in the pot taking me to £54.

Went to the bank and then a couple of shops with hubby yesterday. Every shop we paid in cash, every shop we received change for more than £2. Not one shop had any £2 coins left. :mad:
Hopefully hubby will come home with at least one today.

Hubby came up trumps, he brought two little beauties home. Both plain. :beer:

It’s been a good day today. Petty cash reimbursement arrived from the bank with 2 lovely gold coins which I duly swapped with £1 coins.

Then tonight I popped to the corner shop to buy a packet of mints as needed to change a £10 note to pay for parking in the morning and I got another two in my change.

All four are plain and are now sitting safely in my pot :T.

It’s bingo tomorrow night and I usually get at least one there, if I win that is :rotfl:
