If you are in America, with a uk Vanquis credit card,

and you are wanting to use the American Visa ATM machine at an American bank, to withdraw £300 cash out (which will be in US dollar paper notes/ bills as they call them)

then what will the fee be incurred on top of taking this £300 out?

There is a 3% cash withdrawal fee from taking cash out of an ATM, but this is a Visa ATM in USA America, so will there be any additional fee? conversion rate fee? any other fee?

Can you tell what the 'additional' fee would be in pounds please, which will be on the statement of the following month, as a result of this £300 cash withdrawal please.

would there be any additional hidden fees? which would pop up on the statement too?

ADDED
I see this but still didn't know if there was a hidden sneaky fee involved.

On top of your card’s transaction fee (avoidable with the right card):
ATM fee - varies depending on bank and sometimes the location, usually $1-$5 per transaction
Interest at whatever rate is charged by your card from withdrawal date

As the previous poster comments, it will depend on the bank ATM used. Fees seem to vary.

Last week I was in Clearwater and used a TD Bank ATM for a Halifax withdrawal of USD$200. I had been under the impression that TD Bank had one of the lowest transaction charges. The fee, which was only disclosed on the last screen and I could see no way to then cancel the withdrawal, was $6.95. I felt I had been caught.

A reminder that whilst many like to diss our banks, in many cases at least we have free access to make withdrawals of our cash in the U.K.

    ...I know, I was seriously P’ed off.

At least they didn’t catch me with the dynamic conversion rate option to GBP. There was a button on screen to decline that.

    Grrr.

Either get a Monzo, Starling or Halifax Clarity credit card.
    Other cards are available.

£9 cash withdrawal fee + £9 Foreign exchange fee + £9 for every month until you pay the bill.
Approx. figures and that doesn't include the U.S ATM withdrawal charge.

So easily £20+ even if you pay off that £320+ immediately.

    Find another way.

    I would have been too!

I've never seen the dynamic conversion thing in the US, but I guess it was inevitable it would spread across the pond eventually :(
Something else to watch out for

You’d be better off changing your cash over here before you go than using that card.
