I have seen many sellers warn that colours in photos look different on different displays; I wonder if that protects them at all or if buyers still get away with choosing to ignore that bit  A shame it's such a minefield - as a buyer I am grateful for the protection, but as an occasional seller I would hope they considered each case rather than automatically siding with the buyer unless proven otherwise.
Proof is the issue though, imsure no one here wants fees to go up to employ hundreds of new agents to shift through photos to decide on whether something looks like the seller says. Also who's to say that seller hasn't used an earlier photo taken before they wore or used the item?
The only ones winnable by a seller easily are where the listing itself proves the buyer to be wrong. For instance in my examples, buyer claimed SNAD due to a diary being WH Smith branded , where the item specifics, title and description showed that to be the case.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. True, I hadn't thought of that. As for the colour issue, I sort of envisaged that if it was a different colour altogether or perhaps very obviously a very light or very dark shade (opposite what was photographed) and easily seen at just a glance of the buyer's and seller's photos then it would hold up but otherwise no, because of the differences in monitors - but you're right, it would take more work.
When I do list things I put lots of detail (including exact measurements for clothes) in the hopes that it would protect me from any claims, including sizing issues! So your experiences give me hope that being a careful seller can be worth the effort.0 -
Can they still ask for returns with feedback of just ten? Just frustrated as like an earlier post said they could of worn this expensive ress and decided now to return after wearing.0

Of course they can, they could open a SNAD even with no feedback- ebay offer a money back guarantee (in line with UK law) if something is not as described.
As for the wearing and returning, yes it happens but probably not unless item is very high end and perfect. Blame the bloggers and minor celebs for that as they boast they never have to buy new things as they ust order designer items from shops and return them.
As above, how this goes depends on how you handle it- see my post above.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ebay may earn £1 from the sale of a dress, a new customer is worth much much more to them..0
