Unable to gain access to my Google drive

Options
Hi
Since last night I have been unable to access my Google drive from any desktop. When I try I get a requester saying

Clicking on "sign back in" or on "retry" just result in the same requester. I am logged in to my Google account, and indeed the rest of the browser window around/"behind" the requester shows my Google drive front page with my last four accessed items visible as thumbnails. But I am a good boy and always do as I am told so I logged out of Google and logged back in but get the same error. So I logged out, rebooted my laptop and tried again but have the same problem. This occurs in the Mozilla Firefox and Google chrome windows 10 desktop browers. It also occurs in multiple browsers on three other Win10 laptops in our house and in the browser in MacOS on my iMac and in multiple browsers in Win10 running on the iMac via Bootcamp!

However, I am able to access Google drive and open various documents on it on the App on my Android phone.

So I tried using the phone as a hotspot and accessing the Internet through it on my laptops in case it was something to do with my broadband but I still get the same error.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do about this? I have Googled but none of the suggestions have helped (removing various extensions, that I do not have, deleting the browser cache).

Thank you

Google Drive is documented to only work in IE 11 or Edge, preferably Edge in Windows 10. Try that first.

does your problem apply to your computer only? do you have access to another computer to test? does this happen to every browser(in case you try to access via browser and has more than 1 browser installed), do the apps work? did you tried the privacy modes from a browser?

Thank you. I have just tried Edge and the problem remains. But thanks for reading and helping.

I'm surprised that Google Drive isn't documented to work on Google Chrome.

The problem occurs on multiple browsers, on a total of four Win 10 PCs and on an iMac. The Google Drive App on my Android phone works.

Same problem occurs in privacy modes of various browsers.

do you have recently installed any app? Hotspots, VPN, AD Blocker, any new/different AntiVirus running? Your problem sounds way to odd to me, but seems limited to your computer.

It occurs on five different computers.

if you access Gdrive via your mobile, do you use the same access point as your computer do? Like router? did you, or anyone in the household may modified the router?

The phone is currently accessing the Internet via the same router through which the laptops connect.

No one has done anything to the router.

Do you have two factor authentication on your Google account?
Have you wiped the cookies? (cookies don't always get removed by default when you clear the cache)

I don't have two factor authentication enabled. After reading your post I specifically deleted cookies on Firefox on this laptop and closed the browser and re-opened it but still have the same problem.

    Thank you.
