Money Moral Dilemma: Should I pay my friend for a smashed bottle of wine?

  • Definitely. If you want to save money by having them buy expensive wine for you tax-free, you should be providing them with bottle protectors to protect your wine and their clothes. You should perhaps consider paying for their damaged clothes if red wine was involved.

Check out the blow-up wine protectors on Amazon. I use something similar, and they work wonders when transporting wine in checked-in luggage.

I think that was a joke, not a statement of fact.

    No joke.
Just add a fictitious item to the claim to cover the cost of the excess.
    :)
Give them a taste of their own medicine.

    Por que?
    Seems pretty logical to me.
They use excesses to put you off claiming.
Add your own excess to the claim.
    Call it quits!! Bargain. :D
