    Search on Amazon?

Of those listed, the only names I recognise are Kingston and Crucial; of the 2 I'd probably go Crucial first.

If you can get Kingston and Crucial at that price point I wouldn't consider the other less known brands.
The stated performance is on par between the Kingston and Crucial, and brand wise they are more or less equal. I would get the one with the longest warranty

Integral have been around years, its a UK company that started off making memory and expanded from there. They apparently (it says here) directly manufacture their memory and SSD products.

Yucon is a Chinese manufacturer of these sort of products, they tend to be cheap and normally you would get what you pay for. However this video compares a Samsung 860Evo 250Gb SSD versus a 240Gb Yucun and the result was a lot closer than you might expect:

Of course it probably stands to reason that the Yucun might fail quicker, but of course it only comes with I think 3 years warranty, Samsung gives you 5yrs or 150Tb of data, whichever comes first.
  • Would you buy one less packet of cigs or similar for a week and increase the price by £3.49?

You will not have 120GB of space on that drive which will be extremely tight for windows. There should be some free unreserved space for wear levelling which will leave even less space.
    A 240GB Patriot SSD is £23.49
It has a 3 year warranty

I was told that THESE are good.

Not sure if this would do you as you asked for an SDD card

I don't know the difference but somebody here will no doubt advise

I read windows 10 takes 20gb of space. I dont intend to be storing a lot of data really.
But yes this one you recommend would be ok. Its available on amazon too!
    Thanks
  • The Amazon Black Friday week begins on Friday therefore it might be a good idea to hold out until then. ;)

What you need to remember is that someone may of said that Win 10 occupies 20GB of space but you need to figure in updates and program installs which will swell that enormously. My win 7 partition currently occupies almost 85GB of space in total for everything which is on that partition. That would leave next to nothing on a 120GB SSD. If there is a page file and wear levelling which Samsung who makes my SSD calls Over Provisioning and recommends as a minimum of 5% plus the area lost with partitioning/formatting which on mine is 7% ie only 465GB on a 500GB drive and you can start to see how much can go missing. Most people regret purchasing small SSD's because they quickly run out of space and have to fork out again on something bigger to replace it.

Therefore if I was you I would not consider anything under 240GB seeing as the next size down is 120GB.

BTW I was not specifically recommending that drive, more it's size and price point. I received that offer via email (spam).

It might be worth checking out how the warranty would be handled.
