Afternoon,
I had my hard drive replaced with a ssd and I now have no sound. Could someone please explain very simply where to look and what to to please?
I'm using W10.

It's possible that the drivers of the sound card are missing or corrupted. Go to Device Manager and check if there is anything with a warning sign.0

Press the Windows key and start typing Device Manager ... click on the Device Manager result. Any device not properly configured will be obvious in the list.
W10 usually has drivers for most hardware but in some cases you may need to get the driver package from the manufacturer's website.0 -

Says its all working properly but output is Realtek audio speakers.Does this mean I need to wire up speakers or should they be inbuilt?

Is this a laptop or a desktop? You obviously need speakers, but only you can answer the questions whether the speakers are integrated or not. Where did the sound come from before the disk was replaced? Any chance you have external speakers that have been connected to the mic port instead?0

What's the percentage of the volume? Is it showing any or is it showing a cross on the speaker?0
