I am suing someone at the moment.  The CCBC seems to be working quite smoothly imo.
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

    You misunderstand
You got 33 days, absolute maxc, from the DATE OFISSUE
AFTER the expiry of that time, the claimant can ask the court to award judgement if you do not file a defence before they ask for judgement.
You are now in a race
You will NOT be "filing online". You WILL email as per the instructions in the newbies thread.

Email sent. Thanks again for all the kind help. I shouldn't have left it for so long and if I only checked the forum earlier it would have been fine. The stress of the current times didn't help me focus.. Now I can just hope for the best.

Look after that automated response. It is proof of when you sent your Defence.

I would also take a screen print of your MCOL Claim History showing that at the time you filed a Defence there was no Default Judgment in place. Shouldn't be necessary, but in these strange times...

Thank you! on it now. Do you think I am late to proceed online, as mcol is letting me file?
Do NOT file it on MCOL, use the e-mail address CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
ETA just seen that you had already been advised of this and you have sent your defence by email.
