Our first BEV was an e-Up! Nominal range of 90 miles was something of a joke; 70 more realistic. But it was only ever intended as a 'shopping trolley' and carried out that duty excellently whilst we used the Volvo for longer trips. Even with the double-size battery now being fitted, it's probably only go an effective 150 mile range though.
We've moved on though. Now have a Leaf e+NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
Time to mix it up!
More info on the BEV cement truck, and an excellent point made in the comments that range will be limited by the need to pour the concrete in good condition, so a range of 90mins (and return unloaded) is probably all that is needed.Liebherr Releases First All-Electric Cement Mixer
Swiss construction firm Liebherr recently announced an all-electric first for heavy-duty construction sites. Meet the ETM — a five-axle semi truck mixer based on the new 670 HP all-electric Volvo FM. It’s the first mixer that’s 100% electric, and 100% awesome.
First, let’s talk about what it means for the new Liebherr to be “100% electric.” On conventional cement mixers, the truck itself — the semi that “carries” the mixer — is powered by a diesel engine. That seems fairly obvious, now that I type it out. The part that might not be obvious, though, is that there’s sometimes a second combustion engine spinning the drum. And, while Liebherr has offered an electric drum drive model, this is the first time an electric mixer drum drive has been mated to a fully electric truck chassis.

Congrats to Norway, they broke the 50% milestone for BEV's in March (55.9%) and PEV's accounted for 75%. Outstanding.
Norway EV Market Share Breaks All Records — 75% Of Vehicles Sold Have Plugs!
Norway’s electric vehicle revolution broke new ground in March 2020, with plug-in vehicles now representing over 75% of vehicle sales in the country. Of the remaining quarter share, plug-less hybrids took 7.1%, diesel 10%, and petrol 7.7%.
As usual in Norway, pure battery electric vehicles (BEVs) were favoured over plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), by a ratio of approximately 3:1. BEVs alone represented 55.9% of the total auto market.

Good results for Sweden too. I may have missed the actual figure in the article, but I think BEV's account for around 11% of sales.
Boosted By Tesla Model 3, Sweden’s March EV Market Share Doubles Year On Year To 27%
March brought a strong continuation of 2020’s record-high market share for plug-in vehicles in Sweden, with a result above 27%, double that of a year ago. The overall total for Q1 was also just over 27%, and EVs are expected to achieve 30% market share over the full year 2020.

Is it just me (probably just me) that's getting excited to see BEV sales in countries with large populations, approaching 10%?
So, it looks like BEV's made up around 9% of new car sales in France in March. I think the disruption is happening, it's just supply limited now (and a tad expensive still).EV Market Share Breaks New Records in France — 11.7% of New Autos Have Plugs
France saw a remarkable 11.7% market share for plug-in electric vehicles in March, exceeding January’s breakout result, and bringing the Q1 2020 tally to 9.7%. This is almost 4× growth in market share compared to Q1 2019 (2.6%).Almost 60% of March’s pure electric (BEV) sales came from just two models, the longstanding homegrown favourite Renault Zoe, selling 1,744 units (32% of all BEVs), and the global favourite Tesla Model 3, selling 1,385 units (25% of all BEVs), according to figures from CCFA via Automobile Propre. Against the comparatively weak figures for traditional powertrains, these sales were enough to place the Zoe in 7th place in the overall auto market in March, and the Model 3 in 14th place.Mart. TM3 reaches 6th place for US car sales Q1. Not bad considering it costs a lot more than the competition, shows that BEV demand exists, and promising news for the TMY which is in the higher demand SUV/CUV group.
Tesla Model 3 = 6th Best Selling Car in USA
The Tesla Model 3 isn’t done with the headlines, despite the Model Y’s review-grabbing arrival and the coronavirus pandemic we’re dealing with at the moment. Tesla has climbed the rankings of the top selling cars in the USA and placed the Model 3 on the 6th rung*. That’s up from 9th in 2019 as a whole, up from 13th in the 1st quarter of 2019, and up from 7th in the 4th quarter of 2019. [Update: There was an error in the data of the original article that put the Dodge Charger too high on the list. That has now been corrected.]

What most surprised me in the SMMT figures was the growth in MHEVs in the UK in 2020 outstripping BEVs in both % and volume growth.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)2
