Similarly if the charging infrastructure exists (and I know nothing about this) Hyundai report the following:
"IONIQ 5’s 800V battery system can add 62 miles of range in 5 minutes! It supports charging at up to 220 kW at a DC ultra-fast charging station – charging from 10 to 80% in as little as 18 - 36 minutes*"

Both points are valid, however for me, answering the question as I was asked it, id have the car somewhere around the 40% mark, and most superchargers I've visited are either 150kw or 250kw.
So while I agree with your points, I based my answer purely on my experience of the last year or so using 50kw chargers, most putting out around 45kw as an average, and superchargers putting out around 100-120kw with a half full batteryWest central Scotland

Been a while since I sang Volvo's praises regarding trucks. They really are 'just getting on with it', very impressive, and now building out a charging network along part of the California coast.
Volvo Trucks Building An Electric Semi Charging Corridor
Volvo is set to partner with Shell Recharge Solutions (formerly Greenlots), TEC Equipment, Affinity Truck Center, and Western Truck Center to develop a publicly accessible medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicle (MHD EV) charging network that connects several of California’s most important port cities and industrial centers.
The group is kicking off its plans with a $2 million grant from the California Energy Commission (CEC) under BESTFIT, the Electrified Charging Corridor Project will, “address key barriers to long-range MHD EV deployments and accelerate widespread adoption.”

The falling car market in Germany seems to have caught up with BEVs/PEVs too now.
26% Of New Car Sales In Germany Have A Plug, 14% Fully Electric
With several disruptions affecting it, the overall German automotive market is still in the red, with the market dropping 11% last month year over year. And it seems all this doom and gloom has finally got to EVs, with sales of full electric vehicles (BEVs) dropping in June by 4% year over year (YoY). There were 32,234 BEV registrations last month, representing 14.4% of the overall market. Plugin hybrids (PHEVs) performed worse than the overall market (-16%). Consumers might be starting to move away from them. The latter had 26,203 registrations, or 11.7% of the total auto market.
June’s 26% plugin vehicle share pulled the year-to-date score to 25% (14% BEV). A 25–30% result by year end seems not only possible, but likely.

Nice to see positive support from the Government addressing common myths, concerns and fears about EV's. TBF quite a comprehensive list of issues/answers. I'm sure these will wax and wane over time as issues pop up.
Might even be some fun ones to chat about on the discussion thread, including UK Gov (like almost everyone else) now calling it on the issue of BEV's v's HFCV's or HICEV's.
Sadly it does contain at least one big error (possibly more):With battery prices having fallen to 80% of what they were in 2010, continued price decreases in 2021 and further drops forecasted in the long term, we expect to see more EVs available with greater range.I believe that should be 'having fallen 80% since 2010', in fact I think that's a 2020 stat, and the number is now larger ..... or at least was before the world entered the upside down.

In the middle of Wales on our renewables tour we came across this forlorn looking pump this afternoon and couldn't resist taking a photo and sharing it here.
Edit. It reminded me of a Country song called Whiterose Filling Station, just one of many we dance too, but whose name escaped me until this morning. It goes"When Gas was fifty cents a gallon, they'd put it in for you, they'd pump your tyres, check your oil and wash your windows too........then they built the overpass and stay out on the highway, That ol' Whiterose filling station's just a memory now".As an EV owner I make no apology whenever announcing it as the next number!East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. I guess we shouldn't be too surprised at this after the turbulent times spoken of within VW in recent months and will certainly be interesting to follow their future performance as a result of his departure!
Diess to leave VW in September with Blume set to take over
Volkswagen announced a surprise change of boss on Friday evening: CEO Herbert Diess is leaving the company at the end of August. On 1 September, Porsche boss Oliver Blume will take over and lead both companies in parallel.
Although there had been repeated reports in recent years about a possible departure or sacking of Diess, the last time the Austrian had to fear for his job was in December 2021 – after a conflict with the powerful works council. The announcement of his actual departure on Friday evening after the close of the stock exchange nevertheless came as a surprise – that very afternoon Diess had sent a holiday greeting before going on his summer holiday in a LinkedIn post.

The Chinese BEV invasion of Japan is getting closer. BYD already have about 70% of the BEV bus market in Japan, and are well known. They also build the Toyota BEV sold in China under a JV (joint venture) for Toyota.
No stopping BYD now, they are launching passenger car sales in the US too.BYD plans to hit the Japanese market with 3 BEVs
BYD announced its entry into the passenger vehicle market in Japan debuting three models. The Atto 3 (known as Yuan Plus in China) is expected to go on sale in January. The Dolphin and Seal respectively will be available for purchase in the middle and second half of 2023.
The Yuan Plus came out in China in February this year and is the first model designed for global markets. Japan is now the first foreign market being served with the Yuan Plus. The Dolphin came out in August of 2021, and was the first vehicle based on the e-platform 3.0, using the Blade batteries by BYD. The Seal came out in May of this year, planned to serve as a competitor for the Tesla Model 3.

I was in sunny Wales last week. We used two Dragon Charging sites, one at St Dogmeals (65p) and one at Aberaeron (35p). Why the price difference? Looking at their app this isn't a one off. Do they simply try to milk the busiest locations? 35p seems a bargain although 22kw (6.6kw in the Leaf) so not rapid. 65p on the other hand was a bit OTT.Good to see new chargers appearing though. 4 more at Poppit Sands not yet on zapmap.4.7kwp PV split equally N and S 20° 2016.Givenergy AIO (2024)Seat Mii electric (2021).
