I will be pleasantly surprised if it's anywhere near that price if/when it gets here. Remember the £25k Tesla? A step in the right direction though and a welcome change from the usual £50k SUVs.
I think £25k/200 real miles for a trusted brand, C-segment will be a tipping point.0 -
SAIC haven't done too badly price wise with their MG range, so I don't think the basic model it will (or can) be priced much higher than around £18k. Depending on electricity prices at 10p/mile, you're aiming for 50k miles to be in 'profit'.shinytop said:I will be pleasantly surprised if it's anywhere near that price if/when it gets here. I'd guess it'll be a little cheaper than the £18k mark in standard spec, but who knows?💙💛 💔1 -

Pricing is 55k for dual motor long range, 65k for performance. When the Model X came out not that long ago the cheapest version was only about 60k....I think....0 -
No it wasn't. It started at £72,000.michaels said:

But at £55,000 it's £15,000 more than a Ford Mustang Mach E. Which is a fairly close comparator. It could be high prices to milk the early adopters or to manage limited supply, but that's not viable in the medium term.8kW (4kW WNW, 4kW SSE) 6kW inverter. 6.5kWh battery.1 -
64.1k - shall we agree to split the difference?ABrass said:

TMY £55k plus a bit if you chose your own colour combo. Delivery 2022, 1st 1/4 ?
TM3 LR £48.5k. Delivery Dec 2021.
Seems a big uplift to me, but the hatch is more practical.

Whatever happened to the cheap Tesla we were promised? They just seem to be getting more expensive.
If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.1 -
Not exactly a daily driver, but does anyone else fancy an electric Moke?Fingers crossed for the weekend's lottery numbers

Always tricky to match specs, but the AWD Mach E with the longer range battery, and closer to TMY performance is £57k.ABrass said:

Elon did say that a standard range TMY wouldn't have enough range at ~250 miles, but you never know we may get it offered in the future, and the Chinese did get the RWD offering at a lower price after a while, so that may come too.
For now I suspect they'll be able to sell dual motor LR models in Europe for some time.
Is it worth ~£7k more than a TM3, I don't know, that'll depend on what you want. For me, the hatchback and twice the storage space would be really useful, and a higher, more upright seating position would be nice. Also the possibility to put doggo's in the boot.
Horses for courses.
And then perhaps the TM2/TMQ/TM£25k, or whatever its real name will be, sometime after 2023?Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
