Extra virgin v6 box

I agreed to add an extra box to my package for upstairs and the person I spoke to said I'd pay £49.95 for the box and £8 month for the multiroom subscription and that the £35 installation fee will be free and not added so I said ok I'm happy with that

just got the new bill and it looks like it's £35 higher than expected so I call VM who said that I've been billed my usual monthly bill plus £49.95 for the box and a £35 activation fee

so I didn't know I'd be charged an activation fee and an installation fee . is that right? there is an installation fee and an activation fee?
