All done, email confirmed and couriered back to me via UPS......well, that’s it! Never seen again! uPS attempted delivery 1 Nov 19 but I missed the door (evidence of the driver at my ring doorbell).
I called UPS call centre as there are no UK numbers anywhere! They advise delivery would be Monday.......nothing......Tuesday......nothing.....
So now they are under investigation.
I am completely distraught and devastated by this and have literally hit rock bottom.
Blue Nile (who cleaned them) have offered replacements for the value of the lost one now, (investigations end Mon 18th Nov 19).
This doesn’t even cut it, surely I can take this further, police? Legal advice? Compensation?
Nothing can replace sentiment, rings blessed, the proposal, all just a memory which are now tarred.
Any advice would be helpful, thanks.
If, as you rightly say, nothing can replace sentiment how will compensation help?0 -
You have only got Blue Nile to work with - UPS is nothing to do with you as the contract is with Blue Nile. Therefore you will need to ask what they will give you.
Personally replacement of the ring is enough (and I would take it, after all you've already admitted they were at your door and you missed it...)
As mean as it comes across on a chat forum - you need to remove the emotion from the transaction.0
