Switch hot water off as well?

Hi,
I've read a lot of advice saying it's best to leave heating constantly on at a low temperature to avoid frozen pipes in winter and to save money. My heater has two controls, one for main heating and one for hot water (I think!)
Should I leave both controls on, or is it not necessary to have hot water on all the time?
Thanks

Many systems have an automatic frost level of 5% that will turn on the system to maintain a minimum temperature. You should check if yours does.
If you are not going away and the heating/water is coming on two/three times a day during the normal cycle, then you shouldn't leave it on constant. It doesn't need it in the UK.0
