What a difference a day makes. Went to hospital appt and consultant said my 'situation' didn't look sinister but need a biopsy to be sure so I am waiting for that appointment to come through. I hadn't told anyone but when dd was on my phone she found my appointment reminder and asked me what it was about. I told her and she got upset that I hadn't said anything to her. She told me she will come with me for biopsy. I didn't want her to worry, I wanted to spare her until I had something concrete to say. I am feeling more positive now.
Threw myself in to the housework today. Tomorrow will consist of dropping dd at college, then to the bottle bank, then food shopping. I have £42 for shopping this week so will make a list before I go.
I need to find something to do as a hobby. I am considering cross stitch, I can do these and then give them out as pressies at Christmas. I feel the need to do something crafty or learn about something new, get involved with something.0 -
The specialists are usually very good at 'knowing' what looks sinister, or not, so it sounds like good news that just needs the i's t's crossing. :j
I've done the same with my DD and got it in the neck for not telling her what was going on... we do it with the best of intentions, but then they start worrying that if something is wrong we're keeping it to ourselves. Mind you if she didn't tell me when something was wrong I'd do my crust.
I can also understand wanting to do a hobby. Doing something constructive always make me feel better, and as you say it could also take the pressure off Xmas shopping! (((hugs)))I Believe.....
That it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others.
Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

Hello Chrystal, thanks for dropping by and for the encouraging words. I am definitely more upbeat about things now. Agreed about dd not telling me things either - I would hope she feels she can tell me anything. Like you say though info was withheld for best intentions.
Today I have dropped dd at college, then got rid of bottles and jars, dropped off dd's old bits of school uniform, then done the shopping. Bill came in at £73 but I did get two weeks worth so have saved money really, lots of offers I couldn't refuse. All that was done before my first cuppa which I'm having now with three wholemeal crumpetsoh, I've also hoovered too
:D
Taking time out now.
Payment to Stepchange tomorrow so another bit chipped away at the debt which according to Stepchange is now at £13,200. Once redundancy is confirmed I am going to stop monthly payments, wait for them to contact me and will barter to make full and finals to get rid of it0
