    That's what I'm after...a new beginning.

How annoying is it when you wake up at 2.30am and are raring to go. Honestly, I could get dressed and go to work now. That would be lovely, no one else there no phones :D I know what will happen, I'll be awake until about 4ish then drift off and wake up with the alarm at 6.30 feeling like I haven't slept at all.

My bunnies are definitely pampered, they each have their own personality and it can be quite amusing to watch them. The don't play together anymore unfortunately, they had a falling out a couple of years ago so now we have to do everything separately with them.

We've had bunnies in the past and I like to think of them together, having fun.

What a miserable day it is weather-wise.
Took my DD out for a meal last night to celebrate her getting the job – she starts working this weekend. I am so proud of her, she has struggled in the past with anxiety but is coming through it now and learning to take things in her stride.

Work for me is just as joyful as ever…enough said.

As I’ve got the place to myself this weekend I am going to sort through some bits in the spare room and bag it up for the BHF to come and collect – I have a couple of cupboards they can have as well. I am feeling the need to declutter. I also need to do the airing cupboard to check the bedding for covering up my bunnies. If nothing there, then a trip to the charity shop is one the cards. That should keep me busy.

I always go shopping on a Saturday morning, so will do that, come home and then start. If I promise myself a film and a cuppa at about 4pm then that should give me some much needed motivation.
Day off tomorrow as well, but am busy with my sister, but if I do get the chance to start clearing, then I’ll take it.

Will your landlord permit a lodger? If so you can get around £7500 a year without having to pay tax now. If you live in an area where a mon to fri lodger is likely then you still have your weekend privacy!

Thanks badmemory, I didn't know that. I will find out. Would be useful to have a back-up plan whilst waiting to downsize.

Was up bright and early today so decided to go shopping this morning instead. I was having a good old browse about, just taking my time. Got back home just as the heavens opened so had a cuppa. The next thing I knew it was nearly midday. I had completely zonked out. I was supposed to be out with my sister (what are the initials for sister please? ) so phoned her, and we met later. Still I must have needed that sleep. I've done two loads of washing, washed up and am ready for some tele now. Didn't get to start clearing out but I'd planned that for weekend anyway.

Busy weekend, sorted stuff for charity shop will give it all to the British heart foundation, 8 bags of clothes, two units and a tele, I just need to phone them now to arrange to collect it. I'm on a mission to clear the spare room.
DD been at work all weekend so I've had plenty of time to get busy. She has really enjoyed it long may it continue.
I've also managed to thoroughly clean the kitchen.
I managed to save some money when I went shopping on friday. I budget for £45 a week but only spent £32 so that's money for the leftover pot.
Must get an early night tonight as I've got to be at work for 8 tomorrow morning.
  • Goodluck on your journey. Definitely consider moving if you don't need the space and it'll save you money. I always think a smaller place also saves time on cleaning!!!

Yes I agree - I really don't need the space and I want to save money so it's full steam ahead looking for a smaller property that I can swap with. I know I could save at least £300 pcm by downsizing. This would then be saved up for getting rid of the debt. I do need to do some work to my house as it stands at the moment though. Got some decorating to do and carpets to clean. I'll do all this before I think about going. I'm busy just clearing out stuff at the mo.
Back to work today, and so far it's been okay. I'm hoping to leave the office before 4.30 today as I need to make some phone calls from home.

    Hello diary
It’s been a while since I last updated – I’ve had some things to ponder and I like nothing more than getting involved in a good old ponder session :)

So what’s been happening, well most importantly, dd is really enjoying her job, she works Wednesday pm and all day Saturday and Sunday. I had ‘permission’ to go into the shop on Saturday and so I brought something, served by my dd. I will keep that receipt – silly proud mum that I am!! :rotfl:

Still clearing through the spare room, but the BHF did arrive last week and took two units and 6 bags of bits and bobs. Made some room for me to start again now – and boy, there’s plenty more to go.

Work – may be all change again. Not sure if I’m leaving or not now. Looks like there’s been a possible change of direction and to be honest, I’m back to be uncertain about it all. I may still have a job out of this. It won’t be the one I’m doing now though, and probably a sideways step but we’ll see. Honestly, talk about ‘please someone, just make your mind up’ . The redundancy money would have come in nice in the short term, but then if I do end up with a job here, I’ll have the security of a monthly wage for a little longer. Until the next re-organisation.

Slowly making my way through the list of things to do before Christmas – got my turkey crown on Saturday and it’s in the freezer – I’ve only got a little freezer so not much else going on in there at the moment. I must admit I am toying with the idea of getting a larger one but then I think, do I really need it??? Ex-oh and his friend going to be at mine for Christmas – it’ll be fine… it is the season of forgiveness and being nice after all… glad it only comes round once a year…. (joke) :rotfl::rotfl:

DMP still doing its thing, ever so slowly going down each month. One of my ponders was about going self-managed again in the new year. Having checked my figures on the SC website, I see that one of my debts £308 is getting £34 a month? Another debt for £1065 is getting £17? What’s all that about? I would like to clear the £308 one after Christmas and then free up that cash to put towards the highest balance or even the next smallest one to get rid of it, but SC will spread it across all of the debts. Then again, I like the convenience of SC…. like I say, am pondering. I am not very patient and honestly don’t think I can just leave it as it is, I want to see something happen, be in control of it all.

    :xmastree:
So looking forward to time off over Christmas – I do feel for everyone who has to work it, that’s a lot of people keeping our services going.. thank you :T:T.

What a piggy I am. Got home from work last night and decided to make my way through a 10” veggie pizza, with a glass of wine. Nice at the time and did take me most of the evening, but I couldn’t sleep last night because of it. I’ve been doing my best to lose some weight and over the past few weeks have lost half a stone which I’m so pleased about and then I went and did that.

Anyway, soup for dinner today, and a light tea of sandwiches as my sis and I are off to the cinema straight after work today. I love going to the cinema, two hours out of life… bring it on. :)

Tomorrow I’m working from home so another bonus there. I’m finishing on 24 December this year, no early Christmas break for me, but it will be quiet, so I’m okay with that, there won’t be many people around.:j
