Next time you buy travel luggage always keep the receipts and file them away for future reference.0

Had a claim with Virgin turned out to be simple and quick.
Airport agent offered a brand new replacement it did not look as good on initial inspection, without wanting to spend time researching I rejected.
They did their bit to create a PIR and give me a form

The form is straightforward(Paper copy a bit different to the online one but same info).
https://www.virginatlantic.com/content/dam/vaa/documents/help-centre/damaged-baggage-form.pdf
Emailed: form, invoice for the purchase, photo of case condition with close up of damage.
Within a week, given the condition of the case and the damage a generous offer was made and accepted.
Generous == sufficient to buy a suitable replacement in a sale.0 -
If I reported the damage straight away in the airport, but only emailed the airline after more than 7 days, am I still legally entitled to receive compensation?0
