I've moved the wifes orange number over to O2 Classic PAYG yesterday with the only problem being the online account hadn't changed over the number, trying to add the new number forces a security code sent to the original O2 number which of course doesn't exist anymore. A (very)quick live chat sorted that so it's now up and running, we'll see how long they keep it active.0 -
Those sims card on ebay etc I'd guess will count as un-activated ones
So maybe when you try and activate it you will get the new tariff structure0 -
Great if you happen to have Three coverage. Unfortunately I don't!
Before I moved over to the CIassic PAYG tariff (I was on a very expensive legacy 02 tariff) I tried Three a couple of years back. According to their coverage checker I should have good Three coverage in my area.
I found I could not get good reliable reception in my house..not reliable at all.
I live in North East London!
I use a small amount of data mostly to check email on the go -and very occasional calls - Typically spend £20-30 a year on top ups.
If I had to switch to 02's cheapest data allowance PAYG tariff it would cost me £120 a year!0 -
I rely on it for an elderly family member's gps tracker - it's a 2g only device so will not work on three and it currently costs 2p per text (the device only uses text messages - no calls or data used) https://itrackgpstrackers.com/product/mini-gps-tracker/0

Not on Friday just gone at least, I've just checked online and it's definitely 'Classic Pay As You Go, 3p a minute, 2p a text, 1p a MB of 2G/3G/4G data in the UK'0
