I have a Nokia phone and have been struggling to upload them to the computer.
When I plug the phone's USB into place, what I now know to be the Windows Photo app kicks in and starts searching for files with the message "Looking for new photos and videos"
It reaches number (7000+) then just stops ... then I can't get rid of the window for ages to let me try it all again
I don't actually have that many images on my phone.
I sometimes have to try 6, 7 or 8 times before it works.
Is there another way to upload pictures ... every time I do it this way I get frustrated ... frustrated ... and more frustrated.
Thuis has been going on for a few weeks now and I'm going mad :mad::mad::mad:

How many picture do you have?
The long winded way would be to email them to yourself a few at a timeAll shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Are they stored on a memory card? If so take the card out and try a card reader.0

Edit....sorry made the assumption your using Win100 -
If it's a recent Nokia on Android just install Google Photos and they will all upload automatically if you have camera uploads enabled. You will have the choice of upload via wifi only if you don't want to use any data.0

I have a MotoE Android phone.
I connect it to my Windows 10 laptop and use File Explorer to copy or move pictures from the phone to the laptop.
Can you do that on your Nokia?
I disable the automatic process as I prefer to do it manually.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -

I also have Windows 10. I did try that but couldn't locate where on the phone the images / videos were being stored. maybe I'll try again
Photos/videos should be in a folder called 'DCIM'"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -
Did you check the autoplay settings ? thats probably what's launching Windows photo app0

Thumbnails folder .. 160 of my images, but each one only about 300 x 400 pixels. Why are these small The ful sized ones must be stored somewhere else.
100Andro folder .. empty
camera folder .. only 15 images, each 4032 x 3024 .. I couldn't copy and paste these, says clipboard empty, but can open with Paint.net
DSLR Camera folder .. empty0
