Letter of Claim (car registered in Scotland - PCN issued in England)

Hello,

I received a letter of claim for a PCN issued in 2016 which obviously I didn't pay.

The advice at the time was that as the car was registered in Scotland, I could just ignore any threats and demands from any of these companies.

Was wondering how to respond to a "letter of claim?"

Thanks!

  • Northern Parking Services issued it.

The majority of respondents went with the "ignore" line so that's the approach I took.

Did they issue the Letter of Claim, or was it BW Legal or Gladstones?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • NPS did. No mention of those anywhere on the letter.

They have issued a lot of LBC's this last few days, they seem to be going for it!

    Exactly.

    One respected poster even said:
Only when genuine court papers are actually received will I do anything about it.

Northern will not bother chasing you in Scotland,
