Is there a way to keep the number and transfer it to some other media?

How many faxes do you actually send on this line?
Actually lets rephrase that... who (aside from your good self) actually sends faxes these days?

Surely you can connect your fax machine to your current line and use one for everything? Or maybe you could get an IP fax machine that runs down the internet connection?

    How does "SipGate" work then?

How do you receive the calls?

    How do I transfer numbers?

It's a VOIP service (Voice over Internet Protocol,) a bit like Skype.

and it looks like transferring your current landline number is fairly easy:

  • OP, you mention on another thread that you have no pension provision at all, as you have not been paying your tax and NI. Why, if you are living as you describe, in utter poverty, and have nothing for the future, did you think it made sense to keep a line for faxes instead of saving the money for the future?

You need to start taking some responsibility for yourself. You can’t claim that your situation is down to circumstance or to others if you won’t even do the minimum to help yourself out.

Are you not also the poster who wants to abandon a house rather than auction it, and illegally live in a caravan instead?
