Virgin PAYG £2 per day

Well that was a shock. Both the wife and I use Virgin PAYG phones, and we don't use them very often, but if we do in the future then it will potentially cost us a minimum of £2 per day.
Are there any good, cheap PAYG alternatives out there?

You can get a refund and move to a cheaper provider, 02 or 3 for example. Loads of posts on a previous thread.

Are your existing phones locked to the network used by Virgin (which is currently EE) as this would limit your options to switch unless you can get them unlocked.

The other limiting factor is what kind of coverage the other mobile networks provide in your area.

The Three 321 payg option is very good but you need to ensure that you have decent Three coverage where you live. Start by asking your neighbours who they use and how good the reception is.

Does anyone know how good the 1pNetwork is, because they seem ideal for our purpose and use the EE network.
BTW, thanks for all the replies.
