The very simple answer is no, nobody knows. It depends on how much the sponsor of the link is prepared to pay, the number of clicks etc. Hopefully the sponsor will get fed up spending money on it and won't renew. Better still google/yahoo etc will action the "letters" of complaint and stop allowing these false and misleading adverts.

For more info on how it works with google, start here
  • Pity google don't have a loyalty reward card for click-throughs. I'd have paid off my mortgage half an hour ago!!!!!

:rotfl: Don't forget yahoo and any others that have sponsors Ads, we don't want to appear to be "favoring" one specific search engine;)
  • Oh i'm on it don't you worry. My brother got suckered in with one of these companies and i'm on a payback mission. If it stops even just one more person being duped then it will have been worth it !!

I've just read SouthernScourser's thread Win My Gratitude in the Comps forum & you can count on some of us to be in on this too. We are used to daily clicks & most of us have a bookmark folder set up for our daily comp sites so it won't be anything to add a few more for google & yahoo on the site names listed :)

If someone can make sure we have a list of search names & confirm the search engines that you would like [STRIKE]hit[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]targetted[/STRIKE] queried :D I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one to be grateful :)
Sad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out
  • CCCS have got a lot of publicity in the papers etc over this issue - hopefully between them and this site, a lot more people are aware of the problem.

This bogus company also lists themselves under NDL by the way.

If someone actually enters the site, they get treated to a home visit which is essentially a sales pitch and the rep rarely leaves without getting bank details. I have heard of someone who gave fake bank details after 4 hours just to get them out the house.

You know when you watch Rogue Traders and see those reps with elderly people? Its those tactics this company use. Makes my blood boil

If you go on cccs.co.uk there is an option to look at media stuff on the homepage :)

At least you've done something worthwhile. I've just spent half an hour learning the dance moves to High School Musical... I keep telling myself I'm almost 27 but it hasn't worked.

At least it was free :D
