Is my Barclays instant ISA any good?

I'm saving to buy a flat, and think I need a better ISA. I owned a flat before, so not eligible for a Help to Buy (I don't think anyway). I have a Barclays 'Instant ISA' I've not used for years. I can't find anywhere on the website that tells me what the rate is, to see if it's any good. Any help would be great.

Not sure how hard you looked but https://www.barclays.co.uk/savings/isas/instant-cash-isa/ says 0.4%, which is poor.BruceMorgan wrote: »I'm saving to buy a flat, and think I need a better ISA. Consider better options at https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/savings-accounts-best-interest/ or, if you really want to stick to cash ISAs, https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/savings/best-cash-isa/0 -
Are you aware that nowadays the first £1000 of interest earned ( for a basic rate taxpayer ) is not taxable .So for many savers there is no need to save in an ISA , unless you have quite a large amount .
Usually non Isa's savings accounts pay a little bit better interest rates.0 -
It's a very poor rate of interest; about the only nice thing I can say about the account is that you have the reassurance of dealing with a big name bank with a large high street presence.
You can get, what, 1.45% instant access with Marcus? I would save money there if I was saving with a 1-2 year timeframe. O: )0
