Private landlord issue urgent

Hi approx 14 days ago I placed a holding deposit of £100 on a property and was told that he liked us and he wanted us as tenants we then agreed a date of 1st Nov he then pushed back and today agreed for move tomo the is for my family and myself last Friday I had deposit and ones month's rent paid £3000 and have been waiting for a move in date today he agrees for tomorrow then later on gets told I need garantoor and also credit score print outs etc where do I stand legally on this.
We had agreed terms and dates until his unknown silent buisness partner has requested everything my children's school applications have been changed along with moving costs have I got a legal case here or not as was agreed to move in tomo and now has sprung all this and even after providing all this information still has not got back to me I've lost money on van hire and causing so much distress to us all

Have you signed a tenancy agreement. Have you any paperwork at all showing the move in date?0

Where did you find this landlord? It has a few hallmarks of a scam.When using the housing forum please use the sticky threads for valuable information.0 -
Did you view the empty property with the landlord ?
Did he show you around and give you information about the property ?
Can you check on the land registry for £3 the name of the person or company that owns the property ?0 -
Please tell us you have a signed contract. Reads more like you have lost your moneyAn answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......0

How did you pay the money (via card payment, bank transfer etc). Do you have receipt? What does receipt say?0

Looks like OP is too embarassed as likely a scam and from Gum tree, Got scammed from Gum tree myself, you live and learn"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"
