I know the feeling hun, you feel like you're just going through the motions I feel that too sometimes too.
Keep going you are doing really well xx0 -
Yeah but you also know how the unmotivated feelings bite from last time don't you - and because you HAVE done it before, you know you CAN do it again!
I think we need to get Mrs Stripes back posting - life was fun back then with us all battling away at our little challenges wasn't it, thread parties aplenty - first one in bring the virtual biscuits, last one out turn off the lights!
NSD's - they're a funny one for me because spending the odd extras has never really been my issue since I found this place. I tend to food shop on one day a week, bring lunch from home thanks to MrEH making it, and rarely even fuel up the car as we usually use his for work travel, mine for more fun stuff. If I have to spend it usually is that I *have* to spend.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Ufo's can make life interesting can't they lucielle.
Yes I miss the stripey parties as well, but I'm glad we don't see Mrs Stripes on here if it means she's debt free.
purplemumof2 it's tricky isn't it much of the time on this journey there's not much proactive you can do and its a case of making tiny steps if they're possible, servicing debt and trying not to spend0 -
The tiny steps all help. Just gets frustrating knowing you have to wait for more money doesnt it.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

My day out yesterday was much enjoyed and much needed. I didn't spend too much, lunch was a tescos meal deal, I tried to use a voucher for our main meal but there wasn't one for where we ended up eating but we only had one course so that was money saving.
Back on the straight and narrow again today.
Still need to sort school photos but have now paid the electrician so that means no further borrowing to pay for day to day living etc.
Monthly credit card seems to have climbed a little over the past week but I'm sure we're at 50% of expenditure compared to previous months for the last couple of years.0 -
Still in boring stage, I've found out about what this month's pay will be with our pay rise, my estimate was only £2 out so not bad. I've updated everything else ready for pay day.
Frovember is progressing nicely and we're starting to see a few gaps, still think we'll be continuing into December though. Electrician has now been paid so debt won't climb any further, fingers crossed.
Electricity meter readings have been submitted, should get a revised bill today which will be good, I'm also hoping my sister follows through with moving to bulb so I can get the referral bonus.0 -
Well I've finally sorted the school photos, £60+ argh but once we get them we can print some off for Christmas gifts.
Need to try and sort out switching current account as OH isn't working tonight and I can have access to his details, just need DD to actually settle and go to sleep..0 -
Current account switched, DD still awake. Guess you can't have everything.0

This weekend just gone was mega expensive, I could cry as I feel I've messed up all this months hard work. We really must get food shopping under control, we've been better this month by a long shot but have exceeded the new monthly budget of £400 and that includes using a fair bit from the freezer. We're definitely having to continue frovember into December
.i had to be rather vague with OH about the joining fee we'll get for switching banks, its going to be used to set up the monthly fuel pot so he'll get a benefit for it as well, but if I told him how much it is he'd want half in cash so he can just fritter it away. He's not great with money and just spends till its gone then starts on the credit card which is half the battle these days0
